Bethany McDade, NP, is a wound and ostomy nurse with 15 years of experience dedicated to patient-centered care across the health care continuum. She is passionate about teaching patients to adjust to life after ostomy surgery. She also treats patients for constipation, bowel and bladder incontinence, and post-operative wound care. She is board-certified by the ANCC as an Adult and Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and by the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board as a Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse (WOCN).
Bethany completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Valley State University and then earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Michigan. She completed her WOCN training at Emory University. She currently serves in the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society on the Education Committee. When she isn’t in the clinic, Bethany stays busy spending time with her husband and two children, serving in her church, and cheering on the Michigan Wolverines!
